| Jacob was born in York County, PA in the year 1766, the son of Casper
Clemmer and Barbara Naves. He married Anna Blosser and in 1790, after the Revolution, they
made their way to Fayette County, PA with a brief stopover in Western Maryland. He is said to
have lived to be 100 years old. In this picture he is believed to be 84 years old. One of his sons
was Jasper Clemmer.
